Fruitport went on the road and tied 1-1 against Spring Lake. After a scoreless first half, Logan Manciu opened the scoring for the Trojans off a Bryce Lanore assist. The Lakers responded 15 minutes later to get the equalizer.
Coach Hazekamp was pleased with his team's effort saying, "I thought our boys showed great resilience today and found a way to get a result. We've had an incredibly tough stretch of games and this was a solid effort against a very good Spring Lake team. I thought Kaleb Krueger and Justin Laus had tremendous performances today and we had great contributions across the board. This should be a good building block going forward."
Justin Laus had 9 saves in the net for the Trojans who move to 3-4-1 on the season. Fruitport travels to Muskegon on Tuesday for an OK Black tilt.
