Boys Varsity Baseball Finishes Second at The Bronco Invitational

Game 1 against Coopersville the Trojans found themselves in a 3-0 hole after 3 innings but battled back and took the lead for good 4-3 in the top of the 6th inning and then took a 7-3 lead in the 7th. Jayme Woodring came on in relief to earn the victory. He went 4 innings giving up 4 hits while striking out 4 giving up 0 runs. Leading hitters for Fruitport was Luke Mitchell with 3 hits and 2 RBI's Zander Beatty with 2 RBI's.
Game 2 against Holland Christian the Trojans found themselves behind early again but couldn't fight their way back losing 9-2. Nick Kleinhecksel and Austin Ordaz each had an RBI while Chase Campbell reach base safely twice.
