Fruitport High School Boys' Golf hosted the opening OK Black Conference Golf Jamboree on Thursday night. The Trojans started a little shaky at several spots, but the golfers finished strong. The Trojans placed 4th in the 9-hole competition with a team score of 204. Mona Shores won the event with a score of 158, Jension shot 166, Reeths Puffer 169, and Kenowa Hills and Grand Rapids Union finished 5th and 6th. Fruitport was led by Logan Teitsma with a score of 44, which was good enough to place 13th overall. Corbin Grow shot a 49 (19th place) and Brian Lee shot a 50 (21st place). The Trojans next head to competition on Saturday at Gracewil Country Club.
