Fruitport fell to host Grand Rapids Union by a score of 7-1 on Tuesday night. The Red Hawks used a three goal burst before halftime to separate from the Trojans and take a 4-0 lead heading into the half. Union continued their dominance early in the second half before the Trojans fought back and scored a late goal. Zak Wessels found the net off a Kaleb Krueger assist to get the Trojans on the board.
Justin Laus had 14 saves in the net for the Trojans who fall to 3-3 on the season and 0-2 in OK Black play. Fruitport next takes the field against Reeths Puffer on Thursday.
