Fruitport lost a hard fought game against Holland Christian by a score of 2-0 in OK Blue conference action. The Trojans fell behind early after the Maroons drew a penalty kick and converted to take a 1-0 lead.  The score remained 1-0 until late into the second half as the Trojans pressed for the equalizer the Maroons were able to counter and find the back of the net to take a 2-0 lead.  Fruitport had opportunities throughout the game but was unable to convert.  

Coach Hazekamp credited Brady Brown, Sam Krueger, Isaiah Packard and Braxton Ward with tremendous efforts on the night.  Logan Werschem was credited with 8 saves on the night for the Trojans who fall to 6-1 on the season.  

Although the loss is a setback, Coach Hazekamp believes the lessons learned in the long run will help the Trojans.  Hazekamp noted, "I thought we played with held up physically in a tough environment.  Holland Christian is a really solid team and some of the details that we can clean up will help us as we move through the season."
