SPRING LAKE HIGH SCHOOL: 48
The Trojans lost to Spring Lake on the road Friday night by a score of 48 to 9. The Trojan offense struggled all night, "We got some great looks at the basket in the first half but just could not get anything to drop" The Defense also did a nice job in the first half holding the high powered offense of SL to 21 points which included a last second 3 to Jenna Core to end the second quarter. The second half had SL pull away as the Trojans ran out of gas, "We are a little short on heathy bodies early in the season with all-conference guard Sidney Bol out and a few other that have been out sick for multiple days"
Kennah VerMerris led the Trojans with 5 points, Emily Dirkse and Ellie Fisher anchored the defense and helped recorded a 10 block effort.
Up next for the Trojans is Coopersville Friday December 14. Tip off is 7:30 at Coopersville.
