Fruitport took second with 42 points to North Muskegon's 49 at the County Tournament Saturday. Warmer weather saw improved play and some great matches. Fruitport's county champion flights were #3 singles Olivia Parling with a thrilling three set match and #4 singles Hannah Kelly with another stellar match against North Muskegon. Runner up against North Muskegon were #1 singles Trinity Busscher, #2 singles Haleigh Winskas and #1 doubles Emily Dirkse and Alison Blakeman. An overall good day for the lady Trojans against the country competition. "We have to continue to work to improve our play in the pressure-filled matches against state ranked teams as evidenced in our county finals matches."
