The championship game for the "Pink in the Rink" tournament started off with a goal by West Catholic with 3:00 left in the first period. The Knights responded at 2:18 with a goal by Fruitport Senior Brendan Deneen, with the assist by Kenowa's Nolan Bruxvoort. The Knights threw another point on the scoreboard at 1:13 by the all-Kenowa Hills line of Keenan Laming, Nolan Holtrop and Jared Raisanen. The Frozen Knights brought the hammer out in the second, with an unassisted goal at 14:16 by KHS' Logan Granger. The Knights tallied another goal at 11:14 Nolan Holtrop and an assist by Gabe Partridge. The game continued with a 9:32 bottleknocker goal by Fruitport's Deneen, assisted by Kenowa's Partridge. Not content with five goals, the Knights tallied another at 3:05 with an unassisted goal by Bruxvoort. The third period brought several penalties to the Kenowa/Fruitport/Fremont co-op but it also brought three more unanswered goals. Kenowa Hills Senior Ryan Foster lit the lamp for the first time this season at 16:01, with an assist by Fremont's Mathieu Hannahs and Deneen. At 8:53, Jared Raisanen found the net with an assist by Partridge and Deneen. This goal brought a goalie change for West but it didn't stop the Knights, with an 8:25 score by Holtrop and assist by Deneen, thus ending the game with the 8-goal differential. This is the first time the Knights have beat West in five seasons.
